Yoga Village is excited to offer a 300-Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in a flexible format to fit your busy lifestyle, allowing you to design the continuing education program that meets your interests, needs and finances. This program is designed in a modular format, with the Core requirements and Electives available at Yoga Village over the minimum two year period as required by Yoga Alliance with the option and flexibility to complete your program within the maximum five years allowed. 

Requirements as defined by Yoga Alliance include the following RYS Educational Study & Practice categories:

 To meet the required teaching hours with the Lead Trainer(s), our modular format defines these as CORE requirements and the Yoga Village 300-Hour Training has designed the curriculum to deliver these topics in eight, two-day weekends with one, five-hour session as outlined in the schedule below:

Electives

 
Electives – Preliminary Schedule*: Course electives will be made available beginning the spring of 2017 and are designed in four different modular styles: 2-Day weekend (7 hours per day); 2-Day (5 hours each day), 1-Day 5 hour and 1-Day 3 hour sessions. These course sessions allow you to pick and choose the topics that interest you to ignite your ongoing development as a Yoga Teacher. Course electives have been created to provide diverse exposure and expertise in many areas.

The tentative Course Elective schedule includes such topics such as Yin Restorative, Yoga Philosophy, Sound & Mantra, Kirtan, Health for the Back, Meditation, and much, much more. Scheduling of Electives requires a minimum of ten students or the schedule will be revised to meet these requirements.

In addition to the schedule for 2017 electives, the program trainers are interested in co-creating and expanding on the remaining electives in 2018 to best serve the interests of the students as well as create the most flexible and comprehensive 300 Hour program offered in this area. Electives courses for 2018 are scheduled to include: Iyengar II, Creative Flow Sequencing, Functional Anatomy II, Power of Sound & Mantra, Guided Meditation, Yoga Nidra Meditation, Rocket, Budokon Yoga and more. Pricing

 

Option A: “Pay as you go” is available with each module costing $335; due on the day of the scheduled session plus a $125 administration fee due once for tracking of overall course requirements; total Core Program Cost over 9 sessions – $2,785.00. 

Option B: Register for the CORE modules by establishing a contract with 9 auto-pays, 8 in the amount of $285 and 1 in the amount of $75, processed 10 days in advance of each scheduled session.  Total CORE program costs over 9 sessions – $2,355.00. Save over $400 compared to “Pay As You Go” Option!

Option C: Overall payment plan: Register with a down payment of $540 and establish 18 equal monthly auto-pays in the amount of $195.00 for a total program cost of $3,925.00 plus $125.00 for administration fee.

Elective module costs are due before the start of each session and will vary depending upon selection.  These costs will range from $165 for a 2-day weekend to $35 for a 3-hour session and allow the student to complete the overall training within the total course cost of $3,800.  However, price may vary slightly depending on the interest and selection of electives. Total Elective costs as scheduled – $1,445.00

Overall program cost: $3,800 plus a $125 deposit/administration fee due upon course registration.

Teacher Trainers

Jaye Headshot1 Jaye Martin (ERYT-500), an internationally-acclaimed yoga instructor, will serve as the lead Hatha Yoga teacher for Yoga Village’s upcoming Hatha Teacher Training. Jay is highly skilled and widely sought after for his expertise, enthusiasm and spirituality. He is known for his kind heart and fun-loving nature. Jaye’s gifts to his students are his bright spirit and his skill in communicating both the subtle and technical aspects of the practice.

Rita Rita Knorr (ERYT-500) was introduced to Siddha Yoga meditation in 1993 by Swami Chidvilasananda (Gurumayi) who provided Rita with the guidance she needed to begin her serious study of meditation and hatha yoga which expanded to a special interest in Anusara Yoga. The principles of Anusara and Siddha Yoga meditation continue to guide her practice and teaching style. Rita has conducted numerous classes since she began teaching hatha in 1997, including progressive classes, sessions for students with special needs, weekend workshops and teacher trainings.  

sunder_with_cir Sunder Kaur (ERYT-200, RYT-500) is a founder of Yoga Village, and is creating her vision for a yoga studio that is also a community center where spirit can grow. With a degree in Pharmacy, Sunder is also a Level 2 KRI-Certified Practitioner and an Associate Trainer in the Aquarian Training Academy, and is able to incorporate a scientific understanding of the body into her practice and teaching. She will lead the 10-hour Yoga Anatomy module, an informative exploration of human anatomy, particularly the endocrine system, the central nervous system, nutrition and the yogic lifestyle.


Lisa  Abernathy
is an E-RYT 500 hour certified Hatha Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance.  She draws from a wide variety of different Yoga Teacher Trainings and styles, but her main influence is Iyengar Yoga, which uses alignment principals for safety and effectiveness of the poses. Lisa’s classes employ the use of some props to make them accessible to many levels of students.  Lisa was once a yoga studio owner herself, and has been fortunate enough to make yoga her profession and her passion. She has been teaching and studying yoga since 1997.  She also holds a Masters Degree in Counselor Education, and now resides happily in Dunedin FL.

 

Prerequisites:
Completion of the Yoga Village or other Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School 200 hour program; attendance to Jaye Martin’s, Master Class (or equivalent**), personal yoga practice and demonstrated teaching experience.

**Equivalent = multiple classes with Jaye Martin, Rita Knorr, Kimberly Waugh, Lisa Abernethy or other alignment-based yoga teachers as approved by Yoga Village.
