Finding the Stairway . . .

The kingdom of heaven is no doubt within, and yet, the catalytic power of art and architecture to elevate and inspire us to a more perfect union with the divine is undeniable. Thus, mankind has created great temples, holy sites where hundreds, nay thousands of souls have soared, year after year, century after century, and touched the face of the Divine.

By so doing, generations of devout seekers have raised the vibration of dearly revered and universally recognizable holy places to such a level that today to simply approach them is to experience the very presence of God.

To go to such places, to arrive humbly and ascend with love and devotion a little higher on the stairway to heaven . . . this is the journey of a lifetime.

This is where we are going.  Won't you come along?

Yoga Village invites you to take this journey with us, to be one of the very few who form a select group of travelers who will ascend, together, that divine stairway.

And, we'll have lots of good old-fashioned fun, too!

We will be going to Agra, Jaipur and Delhi where we will be doing a lot of historical sightseeing, visiting several very unique restaurants, and cruising fabulous shopping markets offering the very best of fabrics antiques, jewelry and more. We'll even have the chance to ride an elephant, attend shows with great music and traditional dances, check out the red fort light show (in Delhi), take rickshaw rides, and more!

For two-three weeks (third week optional) starting in October of 2012, we will do all this and explore India's most revered shrines, temples and palaces...We will walk in the footsteps of Krishna and Arjuna...meditate in the spiritual temple of Guru Ram Das...and pray where Yogananda met the Divine, face-to-face. We will enjoy yoga and meditation classes, join our yogi-guides in discussions about the meanings and significance of spiritual texts, and explore the symbolism and history of the art and architecture of the holiest sites we visit.

We will sing and chant and dance under a new canopy of stars, not seen in the West, and delight and ascend in vibration of songs and prayers, the mantras and chants of the millions of voices that have risen to the heavens before us, calling: God! God!
